TIME FOR WAR?
Last night, February 15,1898, around 9:40 p.m. Spain has made the decision they want war by bombing one of our neutral ships stationed on the coast. In Havana Harbor the U.S.S Maine, one of our naval ships, was stationed to protect our local interests when the Spanish through a surprise attack by bombing our fellow Americans just trying to stand by our country.
On this dreadful night, we lost 266 men with only 89 lucky survivors. This attack on the U.S.S. Maine was unexpected so Spain caught us completely unprepared.
As everyone now knows by now Spain and America has had their issues. But after they left Cuba so we could secure Cuba's freedom things became worse. Spain was not happy with our interest in intervening on their control on Cuba.
McKinley is now placed to make the ultimate decision. Is it time for war? Are we ready to risk more innocent Americans? Well as of now the answer is YES. We need to stick up for our country and remain the number one country with the most control.
The president now needs you to support this decision and understand we NEED to keep our place this world and remain number one in the food chain.
